THROUGH THE PLANE OF MILIS TOWARDS BONARCADO
This is a circular itinerary of about 55 Km.
beginning from Oristano.
The route is particularly pleasant for its natural
beauties, above all, along the mountainous
stretch, and includes frequent and significant
religious buildings, which range from those from
the early Middle Ages of Massama and Bonarcado
(the beautiful Romanesque church of St. Maria) to
those more recent of Solarussa.
The church of St. Paolo in the village of Milis,
dating from 1140 is not to be missed.
In the near village of San Vero Milis it is worth
a visit to the pond of Sale Porcus to watch the
beautiful pink flamingos; Capo Mannu on the coast
and, in particular, the Nuraghic complex of
S'Uraki, one of the most impressive in the whole
island.
