Pasquale Erriu

Allievo di Giuanniccu Pireddu dall'età di undici anni, cominciò molto presto a suonare da professionista e veniva invitato regolarmente a suonare per le feste in molte paesi dell'isola. Ha viaggiato parecchio in Europa partecipando a varie manifestazioni folkloristiche. Il suo stile, originariamente tipico dell'area campidanese, subì l' influenza notevolissima di quello del Sarrabus attraverso il maestro Efisio Melis di Villaptzu del quale Erriu divenne un "protetto" ed un allievo per molti anni. Pupil of Giuanniccu Pireddu since the age of 11, he started his profession as a player very soon and was invited regularly to play for the pubblic festivals in many parts of the island. He travelled a lot in Europe partecipating to many folklorist reviews. His style, at the beginning, typical of the Campidano zone, had been influenced in a remarkable way, by the style of Sarrabus, through Master Efisio Melis from Villaputzu, of whom Erriu became a "favourite" and a pupil for many years.
