Residente a Nuoro da piccolissimo, iniziò a suonare da autodidatta
quando aveva 25 anni incontrando qualche difficoltà, vista la quasi
inesistente tradizione delle Launeddas nel nuorese. Nelle esecuzioni egli
si rifà agli schemi musicali tipici dei balli della sua zona, normalmente
svolti dai cori a Tenores. Protagonista di vari appuntamenti musicali,
ha spesso accompagnato i vari gruppi folk di Nuoro nelle loro danze tipiche.
He has lived in Nuoro since a child and he started playing when he was 25 as a self-taught person meeting with difficulties, being the tradition of launeddas almost inexistent in the area of Nuoro.
In his performances he followed the musical schemes which are typical of his zone dances, and are generally sung by choirs "a tenores".
As a protagonist of many musical events he has often accompanied folk groups from Nuoro in their traditional dances.
