E' stato capostipite di una numerosa schiera di suonatori che dalla seconda metà dell'ottocento al giorno d'oggi ha annoverato alcuni tra i migliori interpreti contemporanei, creando uno stile esecutivo che è ancora il più ampiamente diffuso. Secondo Dionigi Burranca, la tradizione ricordava Agostino Vacca per la straordinaria capacità di imparare e ripetere una sonata, dopo averla ascoltata una sola volta. La foto risale al 1875.

Founder of a numerous team of performers, that since the second half of the 800's till now, have placed among the best contemporary interpreters, creating an executive style that nowadays is still widely diffused. According to Dionigi Burranca, Agostino Vacca was remembered by tradition, for his extraordinary skill that allowed him to learn and repeat a sonata never heard before, even after the first time that he had listened to it.The picture was taken in 1875.
