Andrea Pinna

Si è avvicinato alle Launeddas a 14 anni; due anni dopo
iniziò le lezioni con Luigi Lai,
prima a S. Vito, poi presso la scuola del maestro a Cagliari.
A. Pinna ha frequentato il Conservatorio di Cagliari e suona anche
il flauto e il sax. Dai primi anni '80 è stato premiato
protagonista di numerose manifestazioni internazionali di musica
popolare e ha collaborato in alcuni interessanti progetti di contaminazione
musicale con gruppi jazz e etno-rock proponendo stimolanti innovazioni
dello strumento. Da una di queste esperienze è tratto il
brano:
" Ballo in minore" (21

He took interest in the Launeddas at 14; two years
later he started taking lessons from Luigi Lai, first in S. Vito
then at the Master's school in Cagliari. A. Pinna attended the
Academy of music in Cagliari and he plays the flute and the saxophone.
Since the beginning of the eighties he has been a rewarded protagonist
of numerous popular music international events and he has collaborated
to interesting projects of musical contamination with jazz and
ethnic-rock groups proposing innovations of this instrument use.
