This is an ancient village which is situated on the Coghinas river in a land rich in archaeological
artefacts
from the inferior Palaeolithic period (they are among the most ancient human remains in Sardinia). There is
the sacred well of Predio Canopoli. The artefacts can be admired in the Archaeology and Palaeobotanic
Museums
which are at the entrance of the village. In the village centre there is an archaeological area in the
Parish
church square.
