ARITZO
This is a popular destination for tourists in the Barbagia region. It is situated at 796 metres above sea
level. It is a very important centre for the wooden handicrafst. The Parish Church has many works of art.
There is also the Caocci Library which consists of numerous books about local subjects. The Museum della
Vita
e delle Tradizioni Popolari is very interesting. It is worth going for a walk on Gennargentu (1834 metre
high) which is the central mountain in Sardinia.
