The territory of Castiadas was formed from various villages. Its land was reclaimed during last century by
the prisoners from a penal colony. Castiadas is famous for producing wine, and table grapes and citrus
fruits. Nearby there is the valley of Cuili Piras where there are 3 interesting granite monoliths.
